KUWAIT CITY, April 30: Qadsia Club's first basketball team triumphed over Al-Qurain with a 90-76 victory in their third- and fourth-place playoff match at the Basketball Association Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex.
As per the tournament rules, Qadsia and Al-Qurain will compete in a series of three playoff matches, with the first team to win two matches emerging victorious. The second match is scheduled for tomorrow evening, Friday.
The Yellows dominated the game, avenging their earlier defeat by Al-Qurain in the second half of the league. Qadsia’s coach, Javier Munoz, effectively managed the game, capitalizing on his players’ strong performances and Al-Qurain's declining form. Having secured the first match, Munoz is now focused on clinching second place with a win in tomorrow’s match.
