5,385 Kuwaiti gas stations provide their services in 9 countries around the world.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 29: Recent data reveals that Kuwait’s International Petroleum Company, operating under the logo (Q8), oversees a network of 4,573 wholly-owned gas stations in Europe, with an additional 812 stations in partnership, totaling approximately 5,385 stations across nine countries.

These gas stations are strategically located in Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, the International Diesel Company, Sweden, Denmark, and Vietnam, contributing to Kuwait’s extensive international fuel infrastructure.

Italy hosts the largest number of stations, boasting 2,770 in total, including both serviced and self-service stations. Other significant contributions come from Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Spain, forming part of Kuwait’s efforts to expand its global oil outlets.

Wholly-owned stations under Kuwait at the International Diesel Company number 134, with an additional 815 stations equipped to handle fuel refill cards for the company’s customers. In partnership ventures, 785 stations are distributed across Sweden, Denmark, and Vietnam, further extending Kuwait’s reach in the international fuel market.

In the fiscal year 2022/2023, Kuwaiti gas stations achieved sales of 10.8 billion liters, with Italy leading in sales volume. This expansion aligns with the corporation’s commitment to providing secure outlets for Kuwaiti oil and achieving its strategic goal of refining 425 thousand barrels per day of Kuwaiti oil by 2025.

Kuwait Petroleum International is making strategic moves to increase its commercial shares, marking a significant entry into the aviation fuel market. Initiatives include marketing aviation fuel at Liverpool Airport in the United Kingdom, Bergamo Airport in Italy, and Kuwait Airport. Agreements with airlines, including Qantas, for the supply of sustainable aviation fuel at Heathrow Airport, reflect Kuwait’s dedication to sustainable practices in the aviation sector.
