KUWAIT CITY, March 5: Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, has emphasized on the collective effort for the smooth conduct of the upcoming National Assembly elections, slated for April 4, reflecting Kuwait’s vibrant democracy, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Speaking to KUNA during her meeting with sanitation officials to discuss election preparations, Al-Mishaan underscored the collaboration with the Ministries of Education, Interior, and Justice to ready the designated school premises for polling stations.

Al-Mashaan outlined the municipality’s role, which will commence a week before the elections and extend until the following day when the election results will be declared. She urged the daily for deployment of automated sweepers across Kuwait, covering main roads, markets, beaches, and other high-traffic areas. Furthermore, she urged sanitation officials to conduct on-site inspections of cleaning companies to ensure adherence to contracts with emphasis on executing cleanliness campaigns in commercial zones and addressing neglected areas such as farms, chalets, markets and shunning street vendors.
