KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28 : Power will be disrupted in Surra and Firdous in the next few days because the Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) will carry out maintenance works in the secondary power transmission stations in these areas, reports Al-Shahid daily quoting sources.Sources explained this is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to prevent sudden power cutoffs during summer. In another development, sources revealed the ministry floated a tender valued at KD 17.238 million for infrastructure development in fuel reception systems in Subiya Station. Sources added the tender for cleaning secondary transmission stations throughout the country is valued at KD 2.017, while the maintenance of cables in Farwaniya will cost KD 2.515 million.
