Possessing sharp tools & objects criminalized

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 8: Attorney General Counselor Dirar Al-Assousi announced his support of the Public Prosecution for the criminalization of the possession of dangerous tools inside commercial complexes, government facilities, and other public places.

The tools include knives, daggers and swords, in addition to solid objects such as sticks and metal, reports Al-Jarida daily. In a chat with the daily, Al- Assousi said the penalty for merely possessing such tools is less severe if wielded or used in a crime. He added the criminalization of the possession of dangerous tools aims to curb the rate of crimes in the aforementioned places
