Police Sports Union honors Al-Salem and Al-Khalifi for Jiu-Jitsu achievements

Police Sports Union Chairman Brigadier Sheikh Mubarak Ali Youssef Al-Sabah, joined by Vice Chairman Brigadier Mohammed Jassim Al-Mansouri, honored Major Al-Salem following his silver-medal achievement at the 2025 Asian Professional Championship.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 20: The Police Sports Union has recognized Major Ali Al-Salem and First Lieutenant Anas Al-Khalifi for their outstanding performances in martial arts, particularly Jiu-Jitsu. The ceremony was presided over by Brigadier Sheikh Mubarak Ali Youssef Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Police Sports Union, and Vice Chairman Brigadier Mohammed Jassim Al-Mansouri, highlighting the union’s commitment to supporting top athletes from the Ministry of Interior.

Al-Salem was honored for winning a silver medal at the 2025 Asian Professional Championship, part of the AJP tour held in the UAE. Al-Khalifi was celebrated for earning four medals in various tournaments in Egypt:

Silver – 85 kg (Masters, Gi)

Bronze – 94 kg (Professionals, Gi)

Silver – 94 kg (Masters, No-Gi/Wrestling)

Bronze – 85 kg (Professionals, No-Gi/Wrestling)

The Police Sports Union emphasized that the awards reflect its appreciation for athletes who have raised the profile of the Kuwait Police in regional and international competitions. The union also reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing talent, encouraging competitive excellence, and supporting future achievements.
