KUWAIT CITY, Sep 30: The First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, has dismissed a police officer from the patrol unit. This action was taken after the officer admitted during an inquiry at the General Department of Control and Inspection that he had violated proper search procedures involving a woman.
According to the sources, the incident came to light after the woman lodged a formal complaint with the General Department of Inspection. In her complaint, she alleged that while on patrol duty, the officer stopped her vehicle, requested her identification, and instructed her to exit her car. He proceeded to search both her personal belongings and her body, an act that made her surprised and uncomfortable. After the search, the officer left without providing any explanation.
