Plan to monitor cleaning companies

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: Deputy Director General for Services Affairs and Head of the Public Cleaning Committee Khalaf Al-Mutairi called for the formation of a technical committee in each governorate to cite the violations of cleaning companies, reports Al-Qabas daily. In a letter addressed to the director general of Kuwait Municipality, Al-Mutairi said the cleaning committee discussed in its meeting the general cleaning work in the governorate branches, and the negative and positive aspects of the implementation of contracts in general, as well as some observations related to the cleaning centers.

He referred to the review of the competence of the department in charge of following up the implementation of contracts and checking the disbursement of monthly payments to contractors before referring them to the Financial Affairs Department.

Al-Mutairi explained that the committee recommended approving the formation of a technical committee in each governorate to check the violations of cleaning companies and to consider the observations received from the cleaning centers on a weekly basis about the companies in contract with the municipality.

The technical committee will be headed by the director of the cleaning department in each governorate, and will have the superintendent, the heads of the two departments of the centers and follow up the implementation of contracts, and a cleaning inspector for every contract as members.
