KUWAIT CITY, May 4: In a bizarre and troubling scene that unfolded in one of Kuwait’s busiest districts, Hawally detectives have referred two expatriate men to the Public Prosecution after they were found unconscious and heavily intoxicated on a street packed with pedestrians. The men, born in 1992 and 1988 respectively, confessed to consuming a well-known brand of Perfume, which left them disoriented and eventually passed out in full public view.
According to a security source, the Ministry of Interior’s operations room received a call reporting two individuals lying motionless on the pavement in the heart of Maidan Hawally (a location known for its heavy foot traffic). A police patrol was immediately dispatched, and upon arrival, officers found the two men sprawled on the ground, surrounded by concerned bystanders.
Emergency medical technicians examined the duo and confirmed their condition was due to perfume-based alcohol intoxication. Upon regaining consciousness during questioning, the men admitted to consuming the well-known perfume brand and stated they had no recollection of how they ended up on the street. They claimed the beverage was obtained from an unidentified individual, offering little information to help authorities trace the source of the illegal substance. A case of public drunkenness was filed, and the matter has been handed over to the Public Prosecution.
