People heading to Subbaiah area to camp and hold picnics

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: The good weather conditions and moderate temperatures have prompted many to frequent the desert areas for camping and holding picnics. Among them, Subbaiah area seems to be the favorite site for many due to its proximity to the urban area. It can be reached within 20 minutes via the Jaber Causeway, and gliders can be seen flown by the youths in various camp sites, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Because many places have marshes and water swamps formed by rainwater, there is an increase in the number of visitors to the nearby areas. Some citizens and residents have set up their tents and gather in the area in a bid to have a good time with the simplest tools. They rent motorcycles, buggies and even horses.

When touring Subbaiah area, one can see recreational activities all around. The area of wilderness has been transformed by nature lovers into a motorbike race track, and competitions are held on the sand and rocks using 4WD vehicles.

One of the camp owners chose an elevated area with a distinct desert and water view, and pitched his tent, thus creating a beautiful scenery for the people gathering on top.

Hobbyists of gliders were present in the area, using their planes to fly at sunset and enjoy its captivating view. The site has various commercial activities for people to enjoy and pass a memorable time, taking advantage of the current moderate temperatures.
