KUWAIT CITY, March 27: The Public Authority for Youth launched the mobile laboratory ‘Fab Bus’, which conducts field visits to schools to acquaint students with the courses offered by the authority on digital transformation in the fields of robotics and 3D printing, and to provide practical and theoretical mini-training workshops, reports Al-Rai daily. Acting Deputy Director General of the Youth Development Sector, Dr. Meshaal Al-Janoubi, said in a statement, Sunday, that the “Fab Bus” project comes in cooperation with the Ministry of Education based on the authority’s keenness to implement the state’s approach to digitization. Al-Janoubi added that Fab Bus also aims to empower young people in the technology and scientific research sector for the benefit of them and society, and to provide various spaces to embrace youth energies and direct them towards contributing to advancing development in the country.
He pointed out that it also aims to crystallize the passion for technology and ignite the enthusiasm of children and young adults, as it is a community partnership in which everyone cooperates to communicate this information to future generations. He stated that the launch of free courses and workshops for the “Valley of Youth” program, the third season, has finally been completed, which is the complementary and specialized aspect of the “Fab Bus” project. He indicated that 54 different courses and workshops were provided over a period of two months, specialized in technology, space, robotics and digital transformation, as more than 900 trainees, both male and female, were trained.
