Passport hitch prevents family travel

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 8: A Kuwaiti family had to cancel their travel plans because the two-year-old daughter accompanying the family was barred from leaving the country, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, this happened because the family had earlier reported the loss of the girl’s passport but after they found it at home did not bother to inform the Ministry of Interior.

After arriving at the airport, the family was told that the girl cannot accompany other members on the trip to Europe.

Meanwhile, Director of Kuwait Zoo Nasser Al-Attiyah has announced that the zoo will be open from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the first day of Eid Al-Adha, and from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm during the remaining days of Eid Al-Adha and the weekend, except Sunday as it is the weekly holiday for the zoo, reports Al-Anba daily.

Al-Attiya urged citizens and expatriates to visit the zoo to enjoy this vital facility.
