KUWAIT CITY, Dec 13: The Public Authority for Roads and Transportation (PART) will soon sign contracts with three companies - one global and two local - for the implementation of its plan to procure new materials needed to address the problem of flying pebbles on the roads, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a reliable source from the authority.

The source revealed one of the companies is headquartered in Britain and it specializing in road works and maintenance, while the two local companies previously provided materials for road works in the country. He said these companies are expected to carry out their work by the end of this month, indicating the companies will be assigned equally to the road sites that suffer from the flying pebbles phenomenon.

He added PART will supervise the work of these companies through a committee, which will be formed, to monitor the implementation of its plan.
