Clarifies reason for placing codes on company files
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has set a number of codes to stop the manipulation practiced by some employers, and also to clarify the reason for placing codes on company files, reports Al-Shahed daily. The authority indicated that code 331 means “tampering in assessing need”, while Code 332 means “closing the facility”; thus stopping all procedures except for final cancellation to travel.
It added that code 333 refers to “canceling classification or reducing workers” and the consequence of which is to stop all procedures except for the transfer of residency or final cancellation for travel. It explained that Code 231, which is due to the duplication of activity and the distribution of workers for various activities, makes it difficult to apply the lineage decision because of the registration of fake workers or registration of employer’s activity on activities contrary to the decision of the Council of Ministers.
It pointed out that all procedures in this case will be suspended, except for final cancellation to travel. It added that Code 233 is a proof of the existence of a national labor that exceeds the need estimate, so all procedures in this regard are suspended except for the final cancellation to travel. It noted that Code 234 is the existence of suspicion of appointment, which means suspending the file for all procedures except for renewal, transfer to others and final cancellation to travel.
It stressed that Code 131 is imposed when the employer does not cooperate with the administration due to labor dispute, indicating all procedures are suspended except for final cancellation to travel. It explained that the authority adopted the codes in order to set a specific mechanism to determine the reasons for taking drastic measures against the company file.
