KUWAIT CITY, Jan 5, (Agencies): The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has issued a circular regarding request for final cancellation of work permits or transfer of work permits from one work place to another, reports Al-Rai daily. PAM official spokesperson and director of the Public Relations and Media Department, Aseel Al-Mazyed, said the worker must appear in person in front of the Labor Relations Department official to ensure he/she has received his/her financial dues in full and express his/her desire to travel for good or sign the request for transfer from one sector to another as per the procedures laid down by PAM.

Al-Mazyed indicated the competent labor department runs a check on the documents to ensure the contents of the circular are honored. She added that laborers could adjust their travel status at the authority as they saw fit whether they wanted to stay or leave the country permanently.

The Constitutional Court has ruled that the Civil Service Commission cannot pay the end-of-service indemnities to expatriates working in the government sector if they do not leave the country for good, reports Al-Rai daily. The ruling explained the expatriates must leave the country and not merely change to another job.
