Over a million use digital Civil ID

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 9 The repercussions of the ‘corona’ pandemic and the accompanying precautionary measures have led to the number of people using the ‘My Identity’ application.

According to data available the number of users has exceeded the one million mark, since it was launched in March 2020 to compensate for the delay in issuing new Civil ID cards. Director-General of the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), Musaed Al-Asousi, said: “This huge number of users of the“ My Identity ”application proves PACI’s success in finding a digital alternative to the Civil ID that can be used at all government and private agencies to complete transactions with ease.
