Over 80 Individuals Apprehended in Kuwait During Security and Traffic Operations

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: As part of its ongoing efforts to enforce the rule of law and strengthen security presence across all governorates, the General Directorate of Emergency Police, under the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector, conducted a series of intensive security and traffic campaigns from October 26 to November 1, 2025.

During this period, the Directorate executed a total of 1,478 security and traffic missions, resulting in the arrest of 33 individuals for expired residency permits or failure to carry identification, as well as the apprehension of 51 individuals wanted in connection with criminal and civil cases, arrest warrants, and absences.

In addition, 10 individuals were referred to the General Directorate for Drug Control after being caught using narcotics or psychotropic substances or found in possession of suspicious materials. This reflects the ongoing cooperation and coordination among the various sectors of the Ministry of Interior to combat drug-related crimes.

On the traffic front, officers issued 4,032 traffic violations, impounded one vehicle for a traffic offense, and seized 31 vehicles wanted by the judiciary. The rescue team also responded to 210 traffic accidents, handled seven hit-and-run cases, and intervened in 10 physical altercations. Furthermore, assistance was provided to 575 humanitarian cases across various regions.

These operations demonstrate the Directorate’s commitment to maintaining public safety, enforcing traffic regulations, and ensuring swift law enforcement across the country.
