KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: Chairperson of Economic Committee of the Kuwait Bar Association Tahani Sarab affirmed the keenness to make a forthcoming qualitative shift that contributes to the development and leadership of society, and bring about sustainable development that was and remains the primary concern of the conscious political leadership.

In her statement, Sarab revealed that the Economic Committee of the Kuwait Bar Association called for the establishment of an important seminar to discuss this thorny file, in which a number of experts and specialists in this regard participated. She said the interaction of the Economic Committee comes at a time when the national sense grows among all sectors of the Kuwaiti society and its civil institutions, and successive calls for fighting all manifestations of corruption and aggression against public money are being raised.

Sarab said, “Today we are trying to overcome the stereotypic thinking, leaving the hollow theory of our problems, and the trend towards institutional mobility led by the Kuwait Bar Association among civil society institutions by raising these urgent issues, which occupy a wide sector of the Kuwaiti society”. She also expressed hope that the work in the Economic Committee of the Kuwaiti Bar Association will be heard by State officials in order to catch up with the future of this country in which the association is a partner in making and developing it.
