Amir lauds Minister’s sacrifice

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 6, (KUNA): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah presented at Bayan Palace Wednesday Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser Al- Mohammad Al-Sabah with Order of Kuwait of the First Class.

The honoring, at an Amiri reception, came in recognition of Sheikh Dr Ahmad’s services to Kuwait and his efforts in bolstering relations with brethren in the Gulf and Arab regions. Present at the meeting were His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and head of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Saud Al-Sabah. His Highness the Amir in his remarks said that Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr Ahmad was worthy of the Order Addressing the minister during the Amiri reception, His Highness the Amir commended Sheikh Dr Ahmad’s relentless efforts, which saw him “traveling from country to country, attending official functions” to represent KUWAIT.

He lauded the minister’s sacrifice, which earned him the bestowed Order of KUWAIT under the guidance of the leadership and instructions of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. His Highness the Amir praised Sheikh Dr Ahmad Al-Mohammad, remembering his efforts also during the era of late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

On his part, Sheikh Dr Ahmad expressed gratitude towards His Highness the Amir and his leadership, affirming that he was honored to serve Kuwait and its people His Highness the Prime Minister received on Wednesday Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser on the occasion of his being honored with the Order of Kuwait of the First Class. His Highness the prime minister congratulated the minister for the high esteem medal, granted to him in appreciation for his role at the GCC summit. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah on Wednesday addressed a cable of congratulations to Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser on his high esteem decoration of the first degree accorded upon him by His Highness the Amir and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces
