‘Omniya’ deal signed – Students install solar lights

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: The environmental project titled “Omniya” has signed an agreement of cooperation partnership with the Higher Institute of Energy, reports Al-Anba daily. Based on this project, students from the institute installed a lighting system in Adaliya area.

This system works on solar energy and has motion sensors. The objective of this lighting system is to light up “Omniya” containers for serving the residents of Adailiya area in the disposal of plastic containers in order to curb environmental risks.

In a press statement, Farah Shaaban, who is one of the founders of the project, expressed appreciation and gratitude to the students of the institute represented by Eng Hamad Al-Kulaib and Suleiman Al-Taneeb as well as other students who had worked on the environmental-friendly lighting system during their training course.
