KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: The Civil Service Bureau has circulated to all government institutions official lists containing the names of individuals whose Kuwaiti citizenship has been revoked. The action follows Article 21 (bis) of the Kuwaiti Nationality Law and its amendments, which pertain to cases involving fraud, false declarations, or forgery in the acquisition of nationality. The Bureau instructed the concerned authorities to take appropriate administrative measures regarding these individuals.

According to court directives, those whose nationalities have been withdrawn should not be permitted to continue in their government positions until the competent authorities determine the legal, functional, and financial consequences of their cases.

This measure follows a previous step by the Civil Service Bureau, which had earlier issued similar lists identifying individuals whose citizenships were revoked under Article 5 of the same law, covering cases related to the “category of distinguished services.” Those individuals had already met the criteria for signing or terminating their employment contracts with the relevant government bodies.
