Bedoun exacts revenge from officer – Officer’s car set alight

KUWAIT CITY, May 29: Personnel from the Taima Investigation Department have arrested a Bedoun, who is believed to be in his 40s, for deliberately setting fire to the vehicle of an officer with the rank of captain in one of the regions of Jahra, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said after a report was received by the Public Relations and Media Department of the Directorate- General of Fire Department (DGFD) firemen rushed to the area and put out the fire.

The vehicle belonged to the officer in the General Administration for Drug Control and after the CCTV cameras where checked from the neighboring houses, a footage showed a masked man creeping up to the vehicle and setting fire to it. The officer, after conducting investigations zeroed on the accused he was arrested and during interrogation he confessed to committing the crime. The suspect was earlier arrested and referred for prosecution in a drugs case and this was purely a case of revenge according to sources
