Obsession with bedoun file

I sympathize, like any person who respects humanity, with the issue of the bedoun, and I firmly believe that among them are innocent people because of the fault of those who brought them, and died without returning them to their homelands.

They also have rights over us, as long as our governments failed and neglected, for decades, to resolve their case, until their situation ended, a few years ago, in the hands of the Central Committee for illegal residents, and its affairs were handed over to the virtuous brother and former deputy, Saleh Al-Fadala, who is more knowledgeable than anyone else about lineages, conditions and families of Kuwait.

He was able during his time in his work at the head of the apparatus to collect millions of documents and papers supporting his positions regarding the fact that all the bedoun, a majority of them waiting for a solution to their situations.

Concluding a final solution to the issue is not part of the tasks assigned to the committee. Despite the opinion adopted by some people that part of the decisions issued by the committee had negative impact in terms of human rights, which can be true to some extent, however, the State Security is above all. The top duty of committee is to preserve national identity rather than any other factors. The delay or hastening the settlement of a final solution is not among the role of the committee.

Since the establishment of the Central Apparatus for Handling the Status of Illegal Residents, by an Amiri Decree issued in 2010, it has been immersed in processing their files, waiting for a decision on their status! As for finding a final solution to their problem, this is not the task of the agency.

Despite what some believe that the agency’s decisions led to violations of their rights, and this may not be far from reality at times, but state security comes first, as the agency’s role really lies in preserving national identity, before anything else, and speeding up or the delay in deciding on the situation is not his responsibility nor his job.

From our point of view, we see that all the tremendous efforts the apparatus has made, organizational and security, can be completely destroyed whenever its current informed and loyal administration changes, because its organizational work is temporary, not institutional and permanent!In order to gain this status, and to save the files under the control of the agency, which belong to more than one hundred thousand people, and documents that number more than five million, it requires giving them the status of “state documents”, so that they have absolute security immunity, so that no party is allowed to tamper with it, and no party has the right to request the original of these documents and files, but only “true copies”, so that the identity of the homeland remains preserved forever!

The importance of this procedure lies in the danger represented by the change of the leadership of the apparatus, which follows, due to the nature of things, in terms of the danger that has been exerted in opening these files and collecting all these millions of important documents.

Our confidence in the new government is great, especially as it is free from the interference of representatives and their pressure in the interest of this or that party, and it can currently act and put in place possible long-awaited solutions for the bedoun issue and complete their naturalization, especially in known cases, and their number is not big, while giving the committee documents the official status and immunity they deserve, and preventing any party from requesting or tampering with them, except in the event that their owner is entitled to the nationality of the state, or he leaves the country to his original homeland, or he dies!
