Now Pakistanis Can Apply for Schengen Visas via Swedish Embassy

ISLAMABAD, July 9: Sweden has officially reinstated Schengen visa services at its embassy in Islamabad, providing Pakistani citizens with renewed access to apply for short-stay visas. This development will facilitate travel to Sweden and other Schengen countries for visits of up to 90 days, the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed.

Ambassador Muhammad Ayub, Additional Secretary (Europe), leads the Pakistani delegation while Swedish Ambassador Mikael Lindvall heads the Swedish side at the Bilateral Political Consultation in Stockholm.

The resumption of services follows the 19th round of Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) between Pakistan and Sweden, held in Stockholm on July 2. The discussions focused on enhancing diplomatic relations and deepening bilateral cooperation.

Effective July 7, Pakistani nationals can once again submit Schengen visa applications directly through the Swedish embassy in Pakistan.
