Now, 50% Window Tinting for Cars is Allowed in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: The official gazette “Kuwait Alyoum” has published Resolution No. 1398/2025, issued by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, for amending certain provisions of the executive regulations of the traffic law issued by Ministerial Resolution No. 76/1981.

The amendment replaces Article 46-bis, which now states: “It is permissible to install tinted glass under factory specifications for all types of vehicles. Colored foils may also be installed, provided the tint does not exceed 50 percent. All windows may be tinted except the front windshield facing the driver, which must remain a safe, transparent type under Gulf standard specifications. The use of reflective glass or foils is strictly prohibited.”

According to Article 2 of the resolution, the acting undersecretary of the ministry is tasked with implementing the resolution, which will take effect immediately upon publication in the official gazette
