KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: The Official Gazette, Kuwait Alyoum published Decision No. 1398 of 2025, issued by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Youssef, amending certain provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. 1976/81 concerning the executive regulations of the Traffic Law.

Under the new rules, motorists are permitted to install tinted glass in line with factory specifications for all types of vehicles. In addition, colored window films are allowed, provided the tint level does not exceed 50%. All vehicle windows may be tinted except for the front windshield, which must remain a safe, transparent type under Gulf standard specifications. The use of reflective glass or films remains strictly prohibited.

The decision further stipulates that the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior is responsible for implementing the new regulation, which takes effect immediately upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
