KUWAIT CITY, Oct 14: Over 500 players aged from 3 to 19 years from the Premier Sports Academy Everton FC have begun their training program for the new 2016-17 season with exciting times ahead. The PSA Community Sports Program is sponsored by Porsche Centre Kuwait, Behbehani Motors Company and provides coaching courses in football and basketball for all age groups from professional UK qualified coaches. The Centre of Excellence players from the Under 8 through to Under 19 squads will be competing in the Kuwait Academies Football League and the Kuwait Expat League throughout this season and in February are looking forward to travelling to Barcelona, where they will compete against Spanish teams, visit Barcelona Nou Camp Stadium, watch a live La Liga match and receive coaching from Espaniol FC and La Liga coaches.
In addition to the daily coaching schedule at their Bayan Ground, players are playing regular matches and participating in fixtures, tournaments and festivals during the season. The team of highly qualified and experienced Coaches is led by Academy Director Mike Finn and includes coaches from some of the UK’s top professional club academies with UEFA ‘A’ and ‘B’ license, and English and Irish FA professional coaching qualifications. Players follow the English FA coaching curriculum along with age related development from Everton FC and Glasgow Celtic FC Academy programs. Coaches from Glasgow Celtic FC will once again be visiting PSA. Everton this season to deliver coaching sessions to all players and monitor the progress of the rising stars of the future.
