Noor Al-Anzi dribbles past opponents to score.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: Salalah Club’s women’s handball team has officially requested the participation of Kuwaiti player Noor Al-Anzi from Salwa Al-Sabah Club for the Omani Women’s Sports Games, scheduled from October 14-20.

Al-Anzi becomes the second Kuwaiti handball player to compete in the event, following her teammate Aisha Al-Saad, who represented the country last year.

The move comes after significant development within Salwa Al-Sabah’s women’s handball team, whose players have gained valuable experience through local competitions and international tournaments hosted by the club, led by Sheikha Naeema Al-Ahmad. This progress has attracted attention from Omani teams, prompting them to request the involvement of Kuwaiti players in their local tournaments.

Despite only four teams participating in Kuwait’s women’s handball league, the emergence of talented Kuwaiti athletes has captured the attention of technical and administrative staff, contributing positively to the growth and competitiveness of the sport at the local level.
