‘No investment licenses in private housing areas till May’

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7: Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Dr. Rana Al-Fares issued on Monday a decision to stop issuing investment licenses to clubs, federations and Olympic committees in private and model housing areas temporarily for a period of 3 months, until the end of May.

Minister Al-Fares’ decision came based on the increasing complaints received regarding the disturbance that licensing such activities in residential areas may cause to the residents of those areas, in addition to the minister’s request to request a technical study by the executive body of the Kuwait Municipality to find alternatives to sports organizations as investment opportunities that achieve financial returns for Kuwaiti sports, (KUNA)
