Kuwait's MOH stresses vigilance, no modifications to COVID-19 protocols despite China's respiratory cases surge.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: Despite the recent surge in respiratory diseases in China, the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Kuwait has affirmed its decision not to modify its existing COVID-19 protocols. The MOH emphasized that the current situation in Kuwait remains stable, clarifying that the heightened incidence of respiratory infections in China primarily stems from common viruses and bacteria.

Health authorities in Kuwait are actively engaged in ongoing communication with both the World Health Organization (WHO) and Chinese health authorities to stay informed about global health developments. Underscoring the significance of preventive measures, the MOH emphasized the continued importance of adhering to precautionary protocols.

Key measures recommended by health authorities include maintaining physical distancing, ensuring good ventilation in indoor spaces, practicing regular handwashing, and consistently wearing masks. By reiterating these guidelines, the MOH aims to reinforce the collective effort to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission and other respiratory illnesses within the community.
