KUWAIT CITY, Sept 24: In an official announcement, the Ministry of the Interior stated that Acting Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Talal Al- Khaled, chaired a security meeting today, as part of the Ministry’s routine engagements with security leaders, reports Al- Qabas daily. During the meeting, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, accompanied by a team of assistant undersecretaries and Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, discussed the traffic situation in the initial week of the new academic year. Their primary focus was on devising strategies to effectively manage traffic congestion, especially during peak hours, to facilitate the smooth movement of students to and from their schools.

Furthermore, the Minister reviewed the outcomes of intensive security and traffic campaigns carried out by various sectors of the Ministry of Interior, specifically targeting violators and those breaching the law, especially against violators and individuals posing a threat to the nation’s security. The Minister emphasized the priority of enforcing the law firmly and addressing traffic congestion. This entails deploying traffic patrols on both major and interior roads, evaluating intersections to ensure seamless traffic fl ow, and taking a strong stance against any misconduct. Additionally, he called for heightened public awareness campaigns to promote traffic awareness, encourage compliance with traffic regulations, and instill core values and loyalty to the homeland.
