KUWAIT CITY, April 26: A delegation of Filipino labor officials led by the Philippine Minister of Labor is scheduled to visit Kuwait from May 16 to 18. The purpose of the visit is to discuss the possibility of resuming the sending of specialized workers to Kuwait, which was temporarily suspended since February due to the killing of a domestic worker in the Salmi desert.

The visit of the Philippine delegation will also involve discussions on new procedures and mechanisms regarding the situation of Filipino workers in Kuwait, reports Al Qabas. As women make up a significant portion of the Filipino workforce in Kuwait, their situation will be a major topic of discussion.
