KUWAIT CITY, Jan 10: New fees have been imposed on the services offered by the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) for all service groups that fall under it, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The Minister of Commerce and Industry and the State Minister for Economic Affairs Faisal Al-Medlej issued a decision on December 31, 2020 to impose fees ranging from KD 1 to KD 10 for seven new services.
The decision stipulates that KD 1 will be charged for issuance of status certificate for an employee and for employment certificate, and KD 5 for the issuance of a power of attorney certificate for the employer's file.
A fee of KD 10 will be charged for the issuance or renewal of work permits for citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the issuance or renewal of work permits for the Bedoun residents.
According to a decision issued in 2016, PAM collects a fee of KD 50 for the first time issuance, transfer or renewal of the work permit of expatriates working in the private sector.
The decision stated, “The fee prescribed in clauses No. 8 and 10 regarding the final cancellation work permit, and the fee for amending and canceling any data, mentioned in article 1 of the ministerial resolution No. 109/1994 will be abolished. A fee of KD 1 was taken for the data amendment and cancelation, and KD 10 for the final cancellation of work permit”.
In this regard, the new fees imposed on services offered by PAM are -
KD 1 for issuing a power of attorney certificate for the employer's file,
KD 10 for the issuance or renewal of work permits for citizens of GCC countries
KD 10 to issue or renew the work permit of Bedoun residents
KD 1 for issuing an employee status statement certificate
KD 1 to issue a job hierarchy ranking certificate for an employee
Free for final cancellation of work permits and data modification.
