Kuwait unveils ‘Leadership By Will’ initiative to drive tourism, media, culture
Kuwait launches 'Leadership by Will' campaign to boost tourism and media.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept. 21: Kuwait’s Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, on Sunday launched the national campaign titled “Leadership by Will,” aimed at showcasing how Kuwaiti determination fuels the nation’s progress across various sectors.

The campaign forms a key part of the ministry’s broader strategy to modernize media, boost tourism, and strengthen cultural presence, involving collaborative projects that engage the public, private sector, and youth, Al-Mutairi said during the launch event.

“Kuwait moves forward with faith and determination, guided by the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah,” the minister emphasized, underlining the leadership’s directives to serve the nation and fulfill citizens’ aspirations.

The campaign celebrates a national tradition of transforming challenges into opportunities and aims to inspire the next generation to uphold Kuwait’s leadership legacy. Al-Mutairi highlighted that Kuwaitis have historically faced adversity with resilience, making willpower the cornerstone of their achievements in fields spanning humanity, science, economics, arts, and sports.

He described the initiative as an integrated approach connecting the past, present, and future—reminding citizens of their heritage while encouraging young Kuwaitis to become future leaders and ambassadors of their homeland.

Al-Mutairi also unveiled “Visit Kuwait,” a new national tourism digital platform scheduled to launch on November 1. The platform features an e-visa system, an interactive destination map, a 24/7 smart assistant named “Rashed,” and exclusive offers with leading partners. It will serve as a unified gateway for local and international investors in hotels, restaurants, transportation, entertainment, and sports.

“The Visit Kuwait platform reflects our modern tourism vision and promotes seamless partnership between government and private sectors,” said the minister, emphasizing its role as an institutional tourism memory that enhances the visitor experience.

In media development news, Al-Mutairi announced an expansion of Kuwait TV’s News Channel with about 13 new programs alongside over 15 refreshed shows to elevate news coverage and analysis. The channel aims not only to report developments but also to narrate stories that represent Kuwaiti society and document the country’s achievements.

“The News Channel will be the voice of the citizen, a reliable source of information that portrays Kuwaiti society, opens horizons of awareness, and reflects the reality of the people,” he said.

Further, Al-Mutairi outlined Kuwait TV’s strategic role in boosting the arts and culture sector through renewed programming scheduled for October, featuring at least 18 diverse shows across culture, entertainment, and arts. These programs, hosted by top media professionals, aim to foster creativity and align with the ministry’s vision of building a sustainable media landscape.

Collectively, the “Leadership by Will” campaign, “Visit Kuwait” platform, and media enhancements form an integrated system that amplifies Kuwait’s image and opens pathways to a promising future. Al-Mutairi expressed gratitude for the continued support from Kuwait’s political leadership and the nation’s people.

The launch ceremony featured video presentations highlighting the campaign, the Visit Kuwait platform, the refreshed News Channel identity, and Kuwait TV’s upcoming October programming cycle.
