New branch of vegetable market to be opened in Jabriya Cooperative

KUWAIT, May 26: Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Mariam Al-Aqeel announced the opening of a new branch for the Jabriya Cooperative Society central market in Block No. 7 and a branch of vegetables in the same area to meet the needs of its residents.


Minister Al-Aqeel said in a press statement today, Tuesday, that this comes within the Ministry of Affairs’s concern to pay attention to the cooperation sector and cooperative societies to provide the best services to citizens and residents and to provide all other food and consumer goods in the various regions of the country.

She expressed pride in the cooperative sector’s continuous ability to face crises and achieve achievements to serve citizens and residents, praising the efforts of the cooperative societies work team headed by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Affairs Abdulaziz Shuaib and the relevant authorities represented by the team as the ministries of health and trade and the Union of Cooperative Associations as well as the efforts of the Kuwait municipality and the cooperation sector in the Ministry of Affairs and all those working in it.

She clarified that coordination between the concerned authorities led to the rapid opening of such two branches, which are required by the Jabriya area, which is characterized by its high population density, especially in the midst of these exceptional circumstances the country is going through.

Minister Al-Aqeel noted the efforts of the cooperative sector in the ministry and the efforts of its employees and the director appointed by the Jabriya Society and the executive management working with him to speed coordination with the relevant authorities to accomplish this work.

She emphasized that the state relies a lot on the large role of cooperative societies, whether under the normal circumstances or the exceptional circumstances that the whole country is going through, indicating that the cooperative sector always proves its worth and its ability to confront crises and achieve the expected successes continuously. (KUNA)
