New Apple feature reduces notion sickness for iPhone and iPad users.

NEW YORK, May 18: Apple has announced an innovative solution to a common travel discomfort: motion sickness. The tech giant has introduced a new software feature called Vehicle Motion Cues on iOS and iPadOS, designed to alleviate motion sickness for users viewing their phones in moving vehicles. This feature is part of a broader rollout of new accessibility updates across Apple devices.

Motion sickness typically arises when focusing on a stable object, such as a phone or book, while in motion. Apple’s Vehicle Motion Cues aims to address this issue by using the iPhone or iPad’s sensors to detect subtle vehicle movements. The software then displays small dots along the edges of the screen that move in sync with the car’s motion, helping to harmonize the visual input with the body’s sense of motion and prevent nausea. Users can activate or deactivate this feature in their device settings.

In addition to Vehicle Motion Cues, Apple has introduced several other accessibility enhancements. Eye tracking is now available as an alternative navigation method for iPhones and iPads, allowing users to control their devices with their eyes. A new music haptics feature enables Deaf or hard-of-hearing users to feel the music through subtle device vibrations. Improved voice-control features that recognize atypical speech patterns, enhanced accessibility options in VisionOS, and Live Captions for videos across most Apple devices are also part of the update.

These updates reflect Apple’s ongoing commitment to making its devices more accessible and user-friendly for all individuals, addressing a wide range of needs and preferences.
