Nepali bootleggers to be deported

KUWAIT CITY, May 31: Upon instructions from Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Faraj Al-Zoubi, the Director of Jahra Security, Major-General Salem Al-Ahimer, his assistant Brigadier General Abdul Wahid Al-Rashoud, Taima Area Commander, Colonel Matar Sabeel, and Head of the Patrols Department Mubarak Al-Hajraf recently raided an apartment which had been turned into a local booze manufacturing unit and seized a large number of alcohol ready for sale, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily quoting security sources said the place was raided after getting permission from the Public Prosecution when the higher security authorities received a tip-off about the illegally activity in Salmi. The bootleggers have been referred for deportation. A security source told the daily three Nepalese have been arrested including a woman. The contraband and the liquor manufacturing equipment have been seized and referred to the General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control along with the bootleggers
