Municipality steps up crackdown on unauthorized use of public space
Kuwait Municipality launches fifth field operation to combat illegal public space exploitation in the industrial area.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: Kuwait Municipality conducted an inspection campaign targeting violations related to the unauthorized use of public space in front of shops in the West Abu Futaira industrial area, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, officials said Wednesday.

Meshari Al-Dosari, head of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate inspection team, said the campaign uncovered eight cases of sidewalk and road encroachment where shop owners exploited space without proper licensing. This marks the fifth such campaign aimed at detecting and controlling space exploitation violations in the area.

Al-Dosari emphasized the importance of strict adherence to municipality regulations and laws. He noted that inspection teams across all six governorates are actively enforcing the Kuwait Municipality’s rules through regular field campaigns.

The official added that further inspection tours are scheduled in all governorates according to a timetable coordinated by the Public Relations Department and relevant municipal teams.

He warned that municipal inspection teams will continue to impose control measures decisively to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain order.
