Cleaning and Road Works Departments on high alert for rainy challenges.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 20, (Agencies): The Municipality’s Public Relations Department has announced the preparedness of its field teams from the Public Cleaning and Road Works Departments across governorates to swiftly address reports of water accumulation due to rainy conditions. The teams are equipped to efficiently drain or remove water, ensuring the smooth flow of vehicular traffic on streets affected by the rain.

In response to the potential challenges posed by rainy weather, the Public Relations Department highlighted the proactive stance of the field teams in supporting relevant authorities. These teams, stationed in various branches of the municipality, are equipped with specialized tools to address rainwater collection in governorates. Emphasizing their commitment to enhancing cleanliness levels in all areas, the cleaning teams are dedicated to promptly addressing concerns raised by citizens and residents. Reports can be submitted through channels such as the WhatsApp service, the direct line 139 service from the Emergency Department of the Services Department, or through social media monitoring.

The department stressed the dedication of inspectors in all cleaning centers and road works to promptly address reports of water accumulation. Their collaborative efforts with various government agencies aim to ensure the safety of citizens and residents, protect public and private property, and swiftly respond to any reported incidents.

In preparation for potential challenges, the public hygiene and road works departments have strategically equipped 1,690 cleaners for distribution across governorates. Additionally, resources include 67 sweepers, 72 lorries, 38 bulldozers, 17 disguises, 12 water pumps, and 8 saws designed for efficiently removing fallen trees.
