Municipality cracks down on canopies adjacent to government schools
Kuwait Municipality enforces the removal of school-adjoining canopies in private residential areas.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: The Kuwait Municipality has ramped up its field campaigns across all governorates to address the issue of canopies located adjacent to government school buildings in private residential areas. This initiative is in response to a request from the Ministry of Education.

The Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality announced that the intensified efforts aim to ensure the removal of these canopies, which have been deemed a violation. As part of this enforcement action, a total of 267 warning stickers have been issued to violators, instructing them to remove their canopies within 48 hours. To date, 67 canopies have been successfully removed.

The municipality's efforts are focused on maintaining clear and unobstructed spaces around school premises to enhance safety and accessibility.
