KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: MP Safa’a Al-Hashem, after receiving death threats, said she stands her ground in what she believes and called for application of deterrent measures on the expatriates for services provided to them, reports Al-Rai daily.

Hours after she told the daily that she had fi led a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department to identify the person who threatened her with death, Al- Hashem said: “God is the protector of all, and I continue … (to do my work).” She added, the annual remittances exceeded 16 billion, and called for the need to apply charges for the services the country provides.

She also suggested that a ‘golden residence’ permit can be granted to those who can afford to pay for it.
