MP queries Moody’s withdrawal of KIC

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: MP Abdullah Al-Turaiji forwarded queries to Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs Khalifa Hamada about Moody’s decision to withdraw the classification of Kuwait Investment Company. He requested for details about the current chairman of the Board of Directors of the company including the dates of assuming office and appointment as Cheif Executive Officer (CEO).

He also requested for copies of the budgets of the company for the fiscal year the board chairman was appointed until the last fiscal year. He wants to know the opinion of Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) on the appointment of the board chairman. He also requested for a chart showing the prices of the shares of the company since the board chairman assumed office till date. MP Yousef Al-Ghareeb has submitted a proposal to assign two relatives as companions of a citizen who will undergo treatment abroad. He said the Ministry of Health must shoulder the total overseas treatment cost, including the expenses of the companions.
