KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: The Court of Appeals has upheld the verdict issued by a lower court which sentenced a Kuwaiti woman to 47-year imprisonment, and her lover to 15 years imprisonment, with hard labor for injecting her 13-year-old daughter with insulin with the intent to kill her, and facilitating her friend’s sexual assault of her daughter after discovering their illicit relationship. The mother admitted during the investigations that the reason for committing the crime was to take revenge on her daughter after discovering her illicit relationship with her lover, and as a result, she deprived all her children of their basic rights. The Public Prosecution demanded in its indictment report that the maximum penalty be imposed on the mother and her lover for the crime they committed, which is considered one of the most heinous crimes against humanity.
