KUWAIT CITY, July 16: The Criminal Court sentenced a woman to 47-year imprisonment and her boyfriend to 15-year imprisonment with hard labor. According to the case file, the woman had injected her 13-year-old daughter with high volume of insulin with the intention of killing her, and facilitated for her boyfriend to molest her daughter.
During the investigation, she admitted it was an act of revenge against her daughter upon discovering her forbidden relationship with her boyfriend. Consequently, she deprived all her children of their basic rights. In the indictment report, the Public Prosecution called for the maximum punishment to be imposed on both the “mother and her boyfriend” for committing what it deemed as one of the most heinous crimes against humanity.
