An image posted on the social media shows landmines scattered in the desert somewhere.KUWAIT CITY, Nov 28: Department of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior has refuted rumors that it had received several reports on sighting of land mines due to sand being washed away as a result of rain in Kuwait over the past few days, reports Al-Rai daily.A source at the Civil Defense said the images and reports that were posted in the social purportedly showing mines in some areas are inaccurate.The Civil Defense, the source said, has not received any reports of on mines and pointed out these pictures are old.In the meantime, the source said that the Civil Defense in coordination with the concerned authorities continue to comb certain areas which are prone to unearth land mines and explosives as a precautionary measure so that the citizens and residents are not harmed
