KUWAIT CITY, May 13: The Ministry of Health (MoH) confirmed that work in outpatient clinics in hospitals and specialized medical centers begin at seven-thirty in the morning, reports Al-Jarida daily. This came in an administrative circular issued by the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, addressed to the assistant undersecretaries of the ministry, directors of health regions, central departments, and heads of medical bodies.

The circular indicated that this comes within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to implement Civil Service Council Resolution No. 41 of 2006 and its amendments regarding the rules, provisions and controls of official work and the necessity of adhering to the established working hours according to the nature of the entity’s work and to preserve the workflow.

The official working hours are from 7 am to 2 pm for male employees and from 7 am to 1:45 pm for female employees, provided that the period of delay is calculated from the end of the scheduled 30-minute grace period when reporting to work. The circular stated that for the proper provision of health services, medical, technical and administrative staff must adhere to the scheduled official working hours, calling for adherence to what was stated in the administrative circular.
