‘MoH preps to open thirty-two new health centers in 2019/20’

New centers to be staffed by 2,611personnel

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15: The Ministry of Health is preparing to build 32 new health centers in 2019/2020, including newly constructed or renovated, as part of the ministry’s future projects, reports Al-Anba daily quoting ministry sources.

The new health centers will be staffed by 2,611 medical, technical and administrative staff including 313 doctors, 179 pharmacists, 145 technicians, 134 nurses.

This is in addition to 108 dental nurses, radiologists and dental sterilizers, 3 preventive health technicians, 316 laboratory technicians, 96 blood donors and 587 administrative staff. Some centers are expected to open in January, February, March, April, August, September and December 2019. Others will be in March, June, September and December 2020.

The 32 health centers to be opened are: Sabah Al Ahmad Center, Sector D; Al Wafra Residential Center Sector 1; Al Rehab Health Center; Suliabikhat North West Health Center; Jaber Al Ahmad City N3 Health Center; Al Fannaitis Area 1 Health Center, Abu Fatirah Block 5 Health Center; and Salwa Specialized Health Center. This is in addition to the Demolition and Reconstruction of Fahaheel Specialist Center, Sabah Al Ahmad Sector E Center; Seyyidd Abdul Razzaq Al Zalzalah Center in Al Dasma Area; Al Qurain Health Center; Al Fintas Specialized Health Center.

A health center in Sabah Al- Ahmad sector C, and the Al- Abdali Health Center, Hawalli Health Center; a health center in West Abdullah Al-Mubarak, Specialized Health Center in Hawalli and Al Nugra, Specialized Health Center in Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh, Al-Farwaniya Specialist Center, A health center in Kabad , Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Center, a housing center for expatriates in Shadadia area, a health center in Al-Zour, a health center for public health at the supporting airport and Al- Shuhada Health Center.
