KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: The Ministry of Health (MoH) launched the first awareness campaign for the Kuwait National Health Survey on Wednesday, marking a significant step towards advancing the country's health planning and sustainable development. The campaign kicked off at the Avenues Mall, aiming to educate the public on the importance of the survey and its role in shaping the future of health services in Kuwait.
This initiative is part of the state’s broader development plan and is designed to gather essential health data by surveying 12,000 individuals from 8,000 households across the entire population. The goal is to assess the overall health status and trends, evaluate the quality and efficiency of existing health services, and support effective health planning based on accurate, up-to-date data.
According to the Ministry, the survey also aims to enhance disease monitoring and analyze health risk factors to better inform public health strategies. The data collected will provide crucial insights into the nation’s health challenges and help improve the quality of healthcare services and the overall quality of life for Kuwaiti citizens and residents.
The survey will target a random sample of households, with participants selected through the “Sahel” and “My Identity” applications. Selected households will be notified and can choose the most convenient time and place for the survey to be conducted. A specialized team from the Ministry of Health will carry out the data collection, ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of all information using the latest electronic security technologies.
The survey’s implementation is supported by the Council of Ministers and the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, in line with Kuwait’s Vision 2035 for sustainable growth.
The Ministry emphasized that the results of the survey will play a pivotal role in improving healthcare services and helping to design health policies that align with the evolving needs of the population. By obtaining accurate health data, the Ministry aims to ensure that Kuwait's health system is equipped to provide high-quality services and meets the demands of both nationals and residents.
The benefits of this initiative are far-reaching, as it will not only contribute to the well-being of individuals but also support Kuwait’s long-term development goals, including promoting a healthy future for generations to come.
The Ministry of Health is committed to ensuring the success of this project, which aligns with the country’s goal of achieving sustainable development and improving the health of its population.
