KUWAIT CITY, Sept 4: Kuwait’s Ministry of Health has issued a statement following the circulation of a video on social media showing a group of young men tampering with protective equipment, medical devices, and examination tools inside a treatment room at a healthcare facility.

The ministry said a field investigation confirmed that the incident occurred at a private healthcare facility. It added that coordination is underway with the management of the facility to take the necessary legal measures in line with regulations, ensuring the safety of patients and visitors and protecting their rights.

The statement described the behavior as a serious violation that undermines the sanctity of healthcare institutions and strips medical equipment of its essential role in protecting lives and preserving public health.

The ministry urged young people to act responsibly and to appreciate the importance of healthcare facilities established to serve society. It stressed the shared responsibility of maintaining a safe environment that adheres to health standards.

Reaffirming its commitment, the ministry said inspection teams will continue to monitor both public and private healthcare facilities and deal firmly with any violations or misconduct. It emphasized that safeguarding human health remains a top priority that cannot be compromised.
