KUWAIT, April 8 (KUNA) - The Kuwaiti Ministry of Trade and Industry announced today, Wednesday, that it closed seven supermarkets that did not adhere to the precautionary measures in place to face the repercussions of the spread of the emerging corona virus (Covid 19).

MOCI said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that its inspection teams monitored 415 cooperative societies, supermarkets, commercial stores and vegetable shops to determine the extent of their commitment and maintain the stability of product prices.

The inspection teams monitored 80 catering branches and one bakery affiliated with the Kuwait Mills Company to ensure the smooth flow of sales and delivery of foodstuffs to their beneficiaries, in addition to editing 15 violations minutes of commercial stores, indicating the reopening of three commercial stores.

MOCI stated that her emergency center received 295 complaints via the hotline (135) and 28 complaints through the control centers, while the ration cards were issued and issued to 258 transactions.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry stressed the need to abide by the laws because of the exceptional circumstance that the country is going through, stressing that its concerned teams are continuing their inspection tours in order to ensure the integrity of prices and services provided to consumers.
