Ministry Terminates Secondment Services for Employees

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 29: Director of the Central Administration for Managing the Secondment System at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Eng Ibrahim Al-Khaza issued a decision to terminate the services of seconded employees; such that their last working day is at the end of this month, reports Al-Anba daily.

The circular issued to various departments in the ministry explained that the decision is based on the agreement finalized in the recently concluded meeting of the Central Committee, taking into consideration the fact that the seconded employees’ work is in conflict with the Labor Law.

Al-Khaza pointed out that Public Authority for Manpower letter number 19120 dated Nov 22, 2023 regarding the permissibility of seeking assistance from external employees who hold Article 18 visa (private sector employees) stated that such practice contravenes the Labor Law.
